For us this has been a key element in increasing sales performance and hence revenue over the past 12 months.

In my experience management are all about saving money and it is hard as a sales manager to work with marketing in delivering the message that the correct strategy and the right person with the skills set and knowledge on SEO and website development/branding is the key to long term success. If you do choose to outsource ensure you have someone within your company whose role is to manage and deliver your project within the timeframes.

Sales teams need the confidence to know that they are selling a product that they believe in and fundamentally feel that they are delivering a solution that the customer can benefit from. The other key element to a great sales professional are the tools that they have in delivering their message, product/service and brand, the last thing a sales manager wants to hear are excuses to why sales are down . Give your sales team all the tools they need to be great sales executives and always have the ethos of “what can we do as a business to make more sales”.

Just in finishing the most important tool for success is becoming a known entity.
