First steps to success!

In my last discussion I very briefly discussed how the digital age is changing the face of sales and how this is critical to your companies strategy to increase sales performance and the importance of the "online image" of your company.

The chart below shows the results of research conducted as a survey to thousands of CEO's. The question that was asked: What areas will you see as most important or least important for you to spend your marketing dollars on in 2012. What the chart illustrates to me is that the old way of sales and marketing is declining. If you wanted to market your product, the old way to do things would be the bottom 3 results on the chart below: Telemarketing, direct mail, and trade shows.

So what does this mean? For every sales lead or contact info that you find and qualify, IE: the company name, company phone number, directors name, directors direct phone number, fax number, web address, email address, etc. The information that you gather and qualify is worth $15 or more for each contact. You might say that $15 isn't much, but lets look at the following example:
